This is another one of my go to recipes for a quick coffee cake for breakfast or dessert. When there is sour cream in the refrigerator this is the recipe I usually make. It is perfect for guests or as a treat with morning coffee. It is a nice, easy dessert too. Serve with ice cream, chocolate sauce, nuts, coconut….go crazy with it! This is Paula Deen’s recipe for Sour Cream Pound Cake.
Sour Cream Pound Cake
1 stick Butter, softened

I love a Sour Cream Pound Cake, it's the one my Mom always makes. Growing up she'd make it during the Summer. She's also can apples. I'd put those hot apples over the cake with vanilla ice cream, oh my, was it good! Your cake looks delicious, makes me want a piece!
ReplyDeletePaula, It sounds delicious with the apples and ice cream. Thanks for sharing your childhood memory of your Mom's cake.
DeleteWith 1 1/2 cups of butter this must be a delightful cake. Perfect for tea/coffee breaks at home or at the office!
