CHRISTMAS STOCKING COOKIES/ Tiffany Turquoise

Maybe I’m corny but some of my all-time favorite songs are Christmas songs …Silver Bells, White Christmas, Sleigh Ride, Let It Snow, especially if sung by Sinatra, Dean Martin, Andy Williams or Michael Buble. Christmas television specials by Perry Como and Andy Williams used to be an annual tradition as they sang the season’s popular songs, decked out in red pullover sweaters surrounded by a beautiful, snowy set. My favorite Christmas song is I’ll be Home for Christmas which reminds me of my Dad, and in recent years brings a tear to my eye. When this played on the radio Dad would say, "this was the one that got all the guys” when they were away from home serving during WWII.

I'll be home for Christmas
You can plan on me
Please have snow and mistletoe
And presents 'neath the tree

Christmas eve will find me
Where the love light gleams
I'll be home for Christmas
If only in my dreams
