BABY COOKIES/ Pitter-Patter

I took a few weeks off from blogging to work on some projects that have been on my to do list awhile, and in January I reached my 5th anniversary in the blogosphere. Since this is my first post beginning my sixth year of blogging, baby cookies to celebrate a new addition to the family tree seem to make sense.

The world welcomed Cooper, the first grandchild for my cousin and his wife and the first child for his son and daughter-in-law. For this genealogy buff, it is always exciting to add another branch to the family tree. Baby Cooper's grandfather is my first cousin since our mothers are sisters and we share grandparents. His son (Cooper's Daddy), is my first cousin, once removed. Baby Cooper is my first-cousin, twice removed. Basically, we are all first cousins and removed simply denotes the number of generations from the first cousin.

These sweet treats to get the new parents through those late-night feedings were airbrushed in pearl and stenciled with the baby's monogram and baby footprints.
