RIBBON STENCIL COOKIES/ Ladies!

This is the time of year when we shine the limelight on womens breast health with vivid pink everything. I remind my readers every October to think of themselves. You are wives, mothers, grandmothers, daughters and sisters. Let’s face it … we make the world revolve in an orderly fashion. Your life is hectic juggling work, home, children, laundry, housekeeping, cooking and all those other tasks to give your loved ones a wonderful life, but please do not neglect your own health in October or any time of the year. It is easy to put yourself last while doing for others. Take an extra three minutes in the shower every month and make that annual 15-minute appointment. Early detection saved two cousins who today are healthy and busy enjoying life and being grandmothers.

I’ve been waiting nearly a year to use this sweet ribbon stencil. It was a complimentary gift when I ordered stencils from The Cookie Countess

  2. Hi Joan-LOVE-LOVE-LOVE your cookies! I tested 7 different sugar cookie recipes last week and yours won hands down! You are EXTREMELY talented! I just have one question-do you use salted or unsalted butter in your cookies?
    Thanks!

    1. Stephanie, Thank you! This recipe is more shortbread cookie than sugar cookie. Shortbread is a soft, butter cookie and sugar cookies are usually a harder cookie. The recipe I use is a slight variation of Karen's recipe at Karen's Cookies. I use less vanilla than Karen's recipe. I do use salted butter. Thanks for dropping by and taking the time to comment.
