PUMPKIN COOKIES/ October Fun

You’ve been waiting for October all year when we celebrate two big events. October signifies the last blast for the Boys of Summer culminating in the World Series. The matchup between the Boston Red Sox and St. Louis Cardinals has proven very competitive and entertaining. Can you believe the ending in the third game of the Series when an obstruction call allowed another run to score for St. Louis? What an exciting finish!  Which team are you routing for?

October also means Halloween. Costumes, scary yard decor, parties, candy and lots of fun are in vogue this month. By now the kiddies have their costumes and trick or treat bags, as they wait with great anticipation for the big night when they go door-to-door and gather oodles of goodies.

To kick off Halloween week, I’m posting three back-to-back Pumpkin Cookies using three unique designs. Today’s design is the first in the three-part pumpkin cookie series. It’s a traditional pumpkin where icing consistency creates distinct sections to give the pumpkin a realistic look.
