DUTCH SIGN COOKIES/ Taste Testers

We spend more time with our colleagues than with our families. Co-workers are a group of people we likely would never have known but we happen to work in the same place whether in an office, retail shop, hospital or construction site. It’s easy to take for granted those familiar faces we greet in the mornings or extend a Happy Holidays to before leaving for a few days off. We miss them when their chair is empty and are happy to hear about their vacation or new baby upon their return. Wherever you work, take a moment to appreciate those with whom you work side-by-side. They are the ones who support us during difficult tasks and the ones who brighten our work days.

These oval, colorful cookies are reminiscent of Pennsylvania Dutch signs. Even though I enjoy baking, decorating and eating cookies, my waistline could not withstand all the calories, not to mention the guilt! My cookies are shared with friends, neighbors, relatives and most often, my husband’s co-workers. They were my first taste-testers for my very first batch of decorated cookies. When they gave me the 'thumbs up' I knew I had to pursue this sweet passion. This recent batch was sent in to my test group. Thanks Leon, Jose, Tim, Pat, Grace, Michelle, Cameron, James, Mike, Sue, Nathan, Brent, et al.
